Former Florida COVID Patient Describes Lingering Symptoms

(Tampa, FL) -- Seven months after his COVID infection, patient zero in Pasco County is still experiencing symptoms.

Gene DellaSala was Pasco's first COVID patient when he was diagnosed in March, and despite recovering, the 47-year-old says he still feels tired, has body aches and memory fog. His doctor says that's because DellaSala's immune system is still in repair mode.

DellaSala tells 8 On Your Side back in March, he felt like he got hit by a car, but he's very fortunate he doesn't feel that bad anymore.
