Law enforcers in the Florida Keys have a new way to stop skimmer scams. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office has new technology that can check credit card devices at gas pumps to see if illegal skimming devices have been installed. The new electronic devices are being installed from Key West to Key Largo. Sheriff Rick Ramsey says this is a great way to stay a step ahead of criminals. The devices can be used to check any machine that accepts credit cards, not just gas pumps.
