Florida State Senate Votes On Suspended Broward Sheriff's Fate

Relatives of the Parkland victims out in full force in Tallahassee this afternoon as the State Senate decides the fate of suspended Broward Sheriff Scott Israel. No matter what happens today Broward Democratic State Senator Lauren Book --who is also on the MSD Public Safety Commission-says it will be a difficult-highly emotional-day for the Parkland families watching the vote. The Special Master recommends reinstating the sheriff, but the senate rules committee voted to oust him Monday. Experts expect this vote will come down along party lines -Republicans hold 23 seats in the state Senate, Democrats hold 17.
