Virgin Trains Begins Construction on West Palm to Orlando Airport Route

Construction is beginning on a rail that will connect West Palm Beach and the Orlando International Airport.

Virgin Trains USA announced yesterday that the long-awaited project is moving forward.

Three miles of track will be installed at the airport with a total of 170 miles of new track.

The project is expected to cost $4 Billion, but will generate more than 10,000 jobs for the state and over $650 million in federal, state and local tax revenue

Work will also include the development of 70 acres for a maintenance shop, along with the needed infrastructure for the passenger rail.
